Well, we did complete the garden in time – finishing with the help of headlights on Thursday night. And were back again early on Friday morning to make sure everything was in place for the judging at 8am. We won a Silver Medal which was presented by Toby Buckland, one of the judges.
Our Water Cycle garden was received with enthusiasm by visitors on both days, with many commenting it was their favourite garden! People particularly liked the green roof and the most admired flower was an unusual Rudbeckia Prairie Glow from Dorset Perennials
Later on Friday Bob Crampton broadcast the ITV West weather forecast from our rain garden live to the West Country, which was quite exciting, not many people can claim this!
More pictures which will be added in the near future or there is one of the garden at Taunton Flower Show – where there is also a picture of Rob in the wine marque!
Hopefully normal life can resume again, and we can have a proper night sleep!
Thank you to Dorset Perennials, Yarcombe Woodland Products and Rocketbox Designs, also thank you to our many customers who lent us plants and let us have the week off normal duties and to Beckys parent for helping “man” and take down the stand, in particular her mum who was great at the PR and helping with the end of show plant sales.
